K7 Security Reviews

Renewed my K7 subscription today and it was smooth. Payment went through fast and the license updated without me having to do much at all. No confusing steps or weird errors popped up, which was nice. Happy with how simple it was and my protection just continued like before...

I tried K7 Computing because I’ve used a few security tools over the years for my own laptop and for helping my dad set up his PC, so I kind of knew what features I expected. It does the basic protection part okay, but overall it felt a bit incomplete to me. Some of the settings were too limited, and I couldn’t find things I usually rely on, like better web control options and clearer reports. For the price, it just feels behind some of the other antivirus tools I’ve used. I really wanted to like it, but I’m not too happy with it.

It installed fine overall, but it took a bit longer than I was expecting on my laptop. I’ve set up similar programs before that finished a little quicker, so this felt slightly slower, but nothing too frustrating

I’ve been using K7 for a while now, it does the job most of the time. But the updates are where it keeps letting me down. They make it sound like everything will stay current automatically, but some days it updates quickly and other times it just hangs there until I restart or mess around with it.

It’s not a terrible product, but I’m tired of the update experience not matching what was promised. I shouldn’t have to keep checking whether it actually updated or not. It gets annoying when you’re trusting it to protect your system and you’re left guessing.

I bought this thinking it would work smoothly across all my devices at home, but that definitely wasn’t the case. My older laptop kept freezing every time I tried to use it, and the app wouldn’t install properly on my tablet no matter what I did. When I reached out to support, they just sent me the same basic troubleshooting steps I had already tried, then leaned on some policy excuse instead of actually helping. It turned into way more hassle than something like this should be. I’m disappointed and won’t be buying again.

I installed K7 a few months ago thinking it would just quietly keep my laptop safe in the background. At first, it seemed to be doing its job fine, and the scans ran without any obvious problems.

But after a while, I started noticing my laptop acting like it had suddenly aged overnight. Startup took much longer, Chrome would hesitate before opening, and even simple things like browsing folders felt a bit laggy. Whenever I ran a full scan, the fan would get loud and the whole system became almost unusable until it finished.

Maybe it’s better suited for newer or more powerful PCs, but on my laptop it was just too much. I finally uninstalled it, the difference was immediate, my laptop felt normal again

I reached out to K7 Security support and just felt kind of ignored. It took days to get even the most basic help, which really bothered me because the situation felt urgent at the time. I don’t know, the whole thing just left a bad impression. Definitely not happy with the service.

I don’t really trust this thing. It felt unreliable the whole time, and I’m not dealing with this little headache again.

It felt too pricey. Didn’t feel worth the money

I’ve been using K7 on my laptop for a bit now, and it’s already caught a couple of sketchy downloads before they caused any trouble. It runs quietly in the background, which I appreciate. I did have a small question and support basically said something like, “just keep the updates on and let it scan automatically,” which was helpful enough. It’s not the most perfect security app I’ve ever used, but overall it does what I need it to do

The site was confusing at first, honestly. It felt cluttered, and I had a hard time finding even basic options without clicking around a bunch. A few pages kind of sent me in circles, which got frustrating. I did eventually manage to get through it, so I guess it works, but it definitely wasn’t the easiest experience
